Margaret Cook Harwell

She was a native of Iredell County born November 15, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Harrison E. and Mattie Johnson Cook. Mrs. Harwell was a former employee of Hill Haven Nursing Home as a Nurse's Aide.

She was married to James Grose Harwell who preceded her in death in 1993. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter: Marlene Moening, four sisters: Maggie Campbell, Dorothy Salmons, Pearl Thomas and Carrie Lou Horne and a brother: Raymond M. Cook.

Surviving is a brother: Esther W. Cook of Statesville, two sisters: Wilma Fox of Cleveland and Mary Baker of Statesville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 7 p.m. in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Mr. Keith Stallings and Mr. Mike Barnette officiating. Private interment will follow at a later date.
