

She was born on June 2, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York. After marrying Murray Robert Strange in 1950 she joined him in his military career until his retirement in 1976. For the next 25 years she joined Murray in ministry serving churches in Indiana, Georgia, Alabama, Virginia and Florida.
Her hobbies include crocheting, knitting, doing word searches and painting. She also enjoyed playing the organ.
Marion is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Anderson and Margit Eugenie Anderson, her husband of 65 years, Murray, and her daughter, Melanie.
Mrs. Strange is survived by her two sons, Arthur Dale Strange and wife Carolyn of Statesville, and Caryl James Strange and wife Phyllis of Carrollton, Georgia; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.
There will be no services at this time. She will be inurned in Bushnell, Florida, at the National Cemetery, alongside her husband, Murray at a later time.
The family would like to offer our thanks to the entire staff of Hospice of Iredell County for the care they provided through these many months, and a very special thanks to the staff of Gordon Hospice House for the loving care they provided in her final days.
