Jerry and I got to know Mary Ann while our daughter, Jennifer, was at north Iredell High School. We all worked together in the concession stand for the Boosters Club. She was a joy to be around. Mary Ann always had a positive attitude and a smile. Our love to your family in your time of loss.

The Sloan family has a special place in our hearts from the days at Mt. Vernon. How fitting that Mary Ann and Carolyn made their journey to heaven on the same day, February 3, a Sunday. Sunday was a very special day for both of them. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Mary Ann was a dedicated choir leader. She really lived the position and cared about bringing glory to God through music. She was also a wonderful pianist!! She knew her music and parts and I can’t imagine choir/Mt Vernon singing without her playing. She loved her children and grandchildren fiercely!! ( We had that in common). God now has a woman/choir leader extraordinaire and I know the choir up there is singing. Love you all!!

Precious, precious lady. Oh, how I loved to give her a hard time. The song leader is always right, even when they are wrong!
You will he missed, but God..............

There’s never been a long night He won’t lead me through
There’s never been a morning His mercies aren’t new
There’s never been a moment He’s not all I need
He’s NEVER made a promise that He does not keep.
