Mary Ellen Spengler Kolsch

Born in Copiague, New York on September 20, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Albert Karl Spengler and Helen Gertrude Lagberg Spengler.

Mary Ellen worked as a receptionist in Security Systems Monitoring with Security Central. She was a member of St. Kilian’s Roman Catholic Church in Farmingdale, New York and First Baptist Church of Statesville.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Larry Spengler.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 years, David Anthony Kolsch; two sons, Steven Lomonaco of Virginia and Jason Kolsch of New York; two grandchildren, Mason and Cooper Lomonaco; three brothers, Albert Arthur Spengler, Raymond Francis Spengler and Paul Thomas Spengler and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 16, 2017 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

The funeral service honoring Mary Ellen’s life will be conducted on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 12:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
