

HARMONY- Pearl Snow, 93 years young, went to be with her Lord Thursday, September 8, 2016. She graduated from Brady Bend High School and St. Francis Hospital Nursing School in Pennsylvania. With a career spanning 50 years, she was a Nurse Cadet in the Army Corp of Nurses during WWII, served at several hospitals, Bowman Grey School of Medicine’s Research Department as well as being an industrial nurse. She was a member of Ijames Crossroads Baptist Church. Pearl was proud to be a graduate of the Statesville Citizen Police Academy at the age of 87 and she enjoyed riding ATVs into her 90s.
Pearl is survived by her daughters, Billie Lawhorn (Don) of Tampa, Amy Robbins of Thomasville, and Linda Stroud (Dean Tulbert) of Harmony, her grandchildren Shane Walker, Tori Wilcox (Scot), Brad Robbins, Stan Stroud (Shelly Wilcox) and Jacob Stroud (Kristen) and her great-grandchildren: Andi, Austin, Braden, Jensen and Tyler. She has a lot of beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws and her beloved dog “Traveling Trey.”
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.L. “Joe” Snow; parents, William and Margaret McTaggart; brother, Lt. Col. William “Bill” McTaggart (Ruth) and her sister, Audrey Flannagan (Steve).
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 11 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home in Statesville from 4-6 pm. The funeral will be held at the Chapel at Bunch-Johnson with burial to follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens Monday, September 12 at 10 am.
