She was born April 28, 1923, in Lincoln County, NC, and was the daughter of the late Andrew Luther and Leila Elizabeth Wise Ramsey. She was a retired payroll clerk and was a member of Christ Boulevard United Methodist Church. She enjoyed needlework, embroidery, quilting and especially loved flowers. Perhaps her greatest joy was traveling, and she was already to visit different parts of the world and the country.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Irwin Victor Morrison; three sisters, Mary Morrow, Ann Waugh, and Laura Hobbs; and a brother, Hugh Ramsey.
Naomi is survived by her three children, Dwight Victor Morrison of Charleston, WV, Felicity Augustus (Larry) of Bedford, TX and Brenda Klash of Statesville; six grandchildren, Richard Augustus (Jennifer), Julie Barrett (Kreg), David Augustus (Melanie), Victoria Tramazzo (Rob), Allyson Valenzuela (David), and Amy Pulido (Michael); eleven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Louise Dagenhart of Troutman.
Funeral services celebrating Naomi’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Christ Boulevard United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ron Doub officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Naomi’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Friday at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
