Paul Frederick Kurtz

He was born August 30, 1940, in South Amboy, New Jersey, and was the son of the late Frederick and Helen Hatter Kurtz. He was a graduate of Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ, and retired auditing manager with the State of New Jersey, Office of Legislative Services. He was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and of the Catholic faith. He was active at the Iredell Senior Center and a life member and former officer and treasurer of BPOE #2518 in Lacey, NJ.

He is survived by his wife, Claire Becza Kurtz, whom he married on March 18, 1979; a son, Christopher (Jane) Kurtz; two grandchildren, Declan and Abrielle Kurtz, all of London, Kentucky; and a brother, John D. (Francine) Kurtz of Wellington, Florida.

Memorial services celebrating Paul’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at the Iredell Senior Center, 344 E. Front Street, Statesville, NC.
