

Born in Iredell County on May 8, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Harless Harvey Lovette and Minnie Lee Haynes Lovette.
Miss Lovette graduated Statesville Senior High School in 1962, she began working with the Salvation Army, becoming an ordained minister. She loved being part of the Salvation Army Home League and attending the Lion’s Club Camp.
She worked for Beauty Maid and Leonard Manufacturing and later for Food Lion in the Deli department.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, William Franklin Lovette.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sisters and brother-in-law’s, Patricia (Dewey) Wolfe of Statesville and Barbara (Jim) Bailey of Troy, PA; a cousin that she raised, Crystal Bryson and her children, Brittany, Tyler (Courtney), and their children, Javia, Lele, Brayland, and Rahland; Tevin and Brandon (Amanda), and their children, Kyle, Madison and Jacob; and three nephews, Junior Wolfe, Craig Wolfe and Corey Lovette.
The family will receive friends Friday evening, September 2, 2016 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
The service celebrating Peggy’s life will be Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Salvation Army 1361 Caldwell Street Statesville, NC with Major Hank Harwell and Captain Aaron and Captain Jamie Goldfarb officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
