Perry Lee Keller Sr.

Perry was born the son of the late Pressley Lee Keller and Cecil Marie Jackson Keller on February 7, 1939 in Iredell County, NC. He worked for 17 years with Superior Dairies, and later started a business in drywall finishing. Perry was a longtime member of Bible Baptist Church, and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed NASCAR, going to yard sales, thrift stores and fishing at the Outer Banks. Perry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Along with his parents, Perry is preceded in death by his wife (together 46 years, married June 7, 1980), Jeraldine Cloer Keller.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include seven children, Cathy Daniel (Rick), Perry “Dooner” Keller, Jr. (Dawn), both of Stony Point, Karen Pharr (Michael), Tina Brown (fiancé Steve Ashley), Barry Keller (Kimberly), Jeff Daniels and Shirley Childress, all of Statesville; 12 grandchildren, Jerry, Crystal, Summer, Nicholas, Matthew, Jesse, Ceseley, Daniel, Kayla, Krista, Noah and Tinley; 13 great grandchildren; 11 siblings, Sonny Keller, Betty Pendergrass, Marvin Keller, Melvin Keller (Betty), Sis Lackey, Jackie Keller (Peggy), Linda Rimmer (Doug), Jerry Keller (Jackie), Wayne Keller (Debbie), Billy Keller (Shelby) and Nancy Duke (Pete), all of Statesville. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Reverends Michael Pharr and Scott McGraw officiating. Interment will follow in Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
