Rev. Elbridge "Eddie" G. Durham Sr.

At High Noon on Thursday, September 26, 2013 Rev. Elbridge “Eddie” Durham, 65 of Statesville, went to receive his reward and meet his Savior. Rev. Elbridge “Eddie” Gwynn Durham, Sr. was born March 15, 1948 in Rockingham County to the late Louie Durham, Sr. and Edna Alberta Hopkins Durham. Rev. Durham pastored for more than 15 years serving the Fancy Gap Pentecostal Holiness Church and Statesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved UNC, the Tarheels, football, basketball, racing and Panthers football.

Rev. Durham is survived by his wife Carolyn Miles Durham whom he married November 28, 1966. He is also survived by a son, Eddie Durham, Jr. (Joanna) of Statesville, 2 daughters, Alisa Anderson of Statesville and Michelle Morgan (Marty) of Hickory, 6 grandchildren, James Mayberry, Alex Cartner, Terra Durham, Kayla Strang, Terry Marsh, and Joshua Anderson, 2 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Louie Durham, Jr. (Nancy) of Saluda, NC.

Services celebrating Rev. Durham’s life will be held Saturday, September 28, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Agape Faith Church with the Rev. Dan Absher, Rev. J.B. Whitfield, and Rev. Mike Maffuci. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm prior to the service. For those who prefer, memorials may be given to the Gordon Hospice House, 2347 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
