STATESVILLE- Richard Campbell Jr., 87, passed away on February 10, 2017.
Born July 29, 1929 in Alexander County, North Carolina he was the son of the late Richard and Johnsie Campbell. He served in the United States Air Force and Army.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
He leaves behind a very special sister, Sara Lee Lloyd; two daughters, Debbie Campbell Barringer and husband Jim Foreman and Glenda Campbell Locklear; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; nephew and caregiver Dale Nicholson and wife Marilyn; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 2pm in the chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 1-2pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
