Robert Leroy Kauffman Sr.

He was born July 18, 1929, in Mahaffey, PA, and was the son of the late Clayton and Catherine Lee Kauffman. He was U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a retired repairman.

Bob was survived by his wife of 43 years, Margaret Helen McCoy Kauffman, whom he married on October 18, 1967; two sons, Michael Kauffman of Michigan and Robert L. Kauffman, Jr. (Michelle) of Statesville; three daughters, Luanne Frizzell (Greg) and Ruth Ann Phillips (Ross) both of Ohio, and Bobbi McCrary (Frank) of Statesville; seven sisters; four brothers; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011, at the National Cemetery in Salisbury with the Rev. Charles Reed officiating.

The family will receive friends at the residence.
