Robert David Williams, Sr. passed away on February 9, 2024 in Statesville, North Carolina. He was born September 21, 1948 in Durham, NC, and was the son of the late Blaine Ray Williams and Eloise M. Maddox.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Betty Williams; son, Michael Williams; and grandson, Jackie Lee Johnson.
Mr. Williams is survived by his daughter, Melissa Sewell (William); son, Robert “Robbie” Williams, Jr.; four grandchildren, Hope Sewell, Charleston Roberts(Donnie), Brandon Williams(Rebecca), and Dwayne Williams(BreAnna); great-grandchildren, Bailey Sewell, Isabella Kilpatrick, Jocellyn Shuford, Ember Williams, Piper Williams, and Leighton Roberts.
A funeral service celebrating Robert's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
