Ronald Dee Larkin was born in Norwalk, CA on January 4, 1941, to Harvey and Nancie Mae (Nannie) Larkin. Ron passed away at his home in Mooresville, NC on August 9, 2026 after a long illness from Pulmonary Fibrosis.
Ron grew up along with his 8 siblings in Norwalk, CA, until they moved to Kentucky when he was about 14 years old. Ron moved back to California in 1959, and eventually settled in Corona, where his four sons were born between 1960 and 1969. Ron was employed at Rockwell International (now Boeing Co.) for many years, and met Debbie in the early 90’s while she was also working there. They dated and then later they got married on August 3, 1996. They shared a home in Palmdale, CA and also a home at Smith Mountain Lake, VA, that Ron had proudly built himself. They ended up selling their homes and moved in 2021, to Mooresville, NC to be near his son David and his family.
Ron and Debbie loved all the dogs they had through the years, most recently Coco, that they spoiled because she was so special to them. Together they enjoyed going on cruises, trying new restaurants and sipping great wine. Ron loved going hunting, fishing, going out on his boat and spending time with his hunting buddies. Ron felt happy and blessed when they had large family gatherings hosted at his home for holidays and celebrations. Family did mean a lot to him and he really enjoyed seeing all his grandchildren and great grandchildren whenever he could.
Ron will be dearly missed by his sons and their wives, all of his grandchildren and great grandchildren and they will have fond memories of the times they spent with him.
Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Marie Larkin, his parents Harvey and Nancie Mae Larkin, his brothers, Bill, Donald and Morris, his sisters, Katherine, Ruth, Millie and Margie and his son Rodney.
