Mrs. Ruby Cheek Bell, 81, of 203 Berry St. Statesville, died January 22nd at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born in Franklin County, Georgia on September 17, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Earnest Cheek and Mary Crider Cheek. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James Paul Bell, Sr. and a son, James Paul Bell, Jr.
Survivors include two sons, Johnny Wayne Bell and Jeffrey Dean Bell and a daughter, Mrs. Patsy Lewis and her husband, Junior all of Statesville. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Juanita Christopher and Mrs. Frances Christopher both of Statesville, along with 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 Tuesday at Iredell Memorial gardens with Rev. Darrell Williams officiating.
