Ruby Mae Poole Parker

She was born May 12, 1939, in Rowan County and was the daughter of the late Sam and Annie Marshall Poole. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Annie Poole and a brother, Marvin Poole.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tommy” Lee Parker, whom she married on June 7, 1976; a sister, Effie Mae Poole of Statesville; four sisters-in-law, Lucille Hedgecock and Louise (Harold) Christy, both of Mooresville, Sarah (Barry) Pruett of Salisbury, and Eloise Parker of Cleveland; a brother-in-law, Marshall (Susan) Parker of Greensboro; and three nephews.

Funeral services celebrating Ruby’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2013, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Pastor Harold Ketchie officiating. Burial will follow at Amity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Cleveland.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
