Sandy learned to be a Draftsman, just like her Dad and was proud of the work she performed including as part of the Space Shuttle program. Her many talents included painting, drawing, crafts and photography.
Sandy was a member of First Baptist Church Statesville and an active member of her Sunday School class.
If anyone knows her, she could be spotted every day at McDonalds with a close group of friends, or at the Statesville Senior Center where she occasionally taught pen and ink classes.
Sandy is preceded in death by her firstborn daughter, Kendra; brother Wayne; mother, Elaine; and father Gustav.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Allen (Jason); son, Kevin Clements (Shannon); granddaughters, Catherine and Elizabeth Allen, and Ella and Erin Driscoll; as well as her beloved adopted fur babies, Brit and Waddles.
The family would like to thank our First Baptist Church family, as well as many friends and extended family for the love and support along the way.
A special thank you to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County and the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House for providing loving and caring support.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would ask that you consider a donation in Sandy's name to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, First Baptist Church Statesville (Davie Avenue) or to Iredell County Animal Services.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 19th at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church (815 Davie Ave) followed by a celebration of life at 3:00 p.m.
