Sandra Knox Sharpe

Mrs. Sandra Knox Sharpe, 47, of 236 Thistle Lane, died April 18, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was a native of Iredell County, born May 8, 1963, a daughter of Martha Williamson, who survives and her step father: Matthew Williams, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a son: Tony Leazer, a brother: Todd Knox, and her grandfather: William Knox.

She is also survived by her husband: Tony C. Sharpe, three sons: Dionte' Sharpe and Terence Sharpe both of the home and Christopher Sharpe of Mooresville, two daughters: Myia Sharpe, of the home and Latoya Sherrill (Tony) of Mooresville, four brothers: Byron Knox of Mooresville, Mark Williamson (Leslie), Dennis Williamson, and Matthew Williamson, Jr. all of Kannapolis, three sisters: Shelia Chambers (Leroy) of Mooresville and Crystal Leach (Derek) and Nina Rice all of Kannapolis, seven grandchildren, her grandmother: Jettie Knox of Mooresville. a special friend: Shelia Dalton and a host of aunts, uncles and friends.

She was a former employee of Gentiva Health Service and was a former member of Huntersville AME Zion Church. Mrs. Sharpe was a graduate of Mooresville High School and had attended Mitchell Community College

Funeral services celebrating her life will be conducted Friday at 1 p.m. at New Life Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Ivan Cowan and Amy Ciceron officiating. The body will lie in state thirty minutes prior to the funeral hour at the church. Interment will follow in the Glennwood Cemetery in Mooresville. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:30 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
