Born August 28, 1941 in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Fred Parker and Sara Dietz Parker.
Mrs. Sowers was a member of the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of Statesville, and enjoyed participating at the Senior Center.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Sidney Robert Sowers, Jr. and wife Gloria of Charlotte and her daughter, Suzanne Sowers Faulkner of Cornelius; extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip R. McCoy officiating. Burial will be private at Oakwood Cemetery.
