Mr. Scott Alan Bertling

Mr. Scott Alan Bertling, 47, of 242 Willard Lane, Statesville, died suddenly on Saturday, July 17, 2010, in a motorcycle accident. Born in Minnesota on November 22, 1962, he was a son of the late Joseph Bertling and Carmen Quamme Bertling. Scott was a manager for Food Lion and enjoyed outdoor activities like riding four wheelers and working around his farm.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Armstrong, a step son, Josh Arrowood and his wife, Rachel of Statesville, a step grandson, Ian Arrowood, a brother, Steve Bertling of Greenville, S.C. and a sister, Sabrina Sentelle of Statesville. Also surviving are three nephews, Kevin and Ryan Bertling, Justin Sentelle and a niece, Kelly Bertling.

Family graveside services will be held at 10:00 Wednesday at Glenwood Cemetery in Mooresville. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
