Shelby Jean Henderson Hager

She was born on June 15, 1948, the daughter of the late Marvin Henderson and the late Fannie Mitchell Henderson. She loved spending time with her family especially going to sporting events for her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Robert Henderson.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 47 years, James R. Hager; Son, James Marvin Hager; and two daughters, Amy Dalton (Benny) of Statesville and Kelli Staley (Bill) of Union Grove. She is also survived by grandchildren: Kaylee Cash (Casey), Alexis Dalton and Zoe Dalton, and her sister Patricia Lubel (Bob) of Statesville She also survived by her grand-dog Drake.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 21 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home from 6:00pm – 8:00pm. Funeral Services will follow on Thursday, February 22 at 2:00 pm in the Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Coley officiating. Burial will be at Union Grove United Methodist Cemetery.
