

Born in Iredell County on May 31, 1955, he was the son of the late John Wesley Reavis, Jr., and Mary Ellen Messick Reavis.
Steve was a graduate of South Iredell High School and on August 27, 1977, he married his sweetheart, Lisa Newland Reavis and together they shared 46 years of marriage.
Steve was blessed with two beautiful daughters and son-in-laws, Amy (Jeff) Sigmon and Ashlea (Zachary) Howell; grandchildren, Kayla (David) Johnson, Tayler Sigmon, Addyson Price, Aubrey Howell and Sawyer Howell; one great-grandson, Jackson Johnson; one sister, Kathey Ann Reavis Hayes and several nieces and nephews. He loved his family dearly.
Earlier in life, Steve traveled with some local gospel groups, singing and playing the bass guitar, and later he helped in the Audio/Video department at MorningStar Fort Mill Church.
He was an avid golfer, enjoying all sports; loved RV traveling and taking many cruises. He worked in Sales with AFI Systems in Charlotte, NC.
Steve instilled an amazing work ethic in his daughters and taught them the meaning of responsibility. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. David Rhoads officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
