Throughout his journey, Tommy faced each day with remarkable strength, optimism, and the same sense of humor that brought joy to everyone around him. His faith in God and his trust in Jesus Christ sustained him through life’s challenges and provided him with strength, hope, and peace throughout his battle.
Born on December 10, 1979, Tommy was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. The beloved son of Beulah Wilson and Thomas Wilson, Jr., Tommy was known for his kind heart, generous spirit, unwavering love for his family, and his faith that guided the way he lived his life.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Buford and Linda May Reed, and his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Wanda Mae Wilson.
Tommy worked at Freightliner for 26 years, where he was respected by coworkers and friends alike. Outside of work, he was an avid hunter who loved spending time outdoors.
Whether sharing stories from the woods, riding 4-wheelers, catfishing, or recounting one of his many adventures, Tommy always had a joke, a funny story, or a witty remark ready to make those around him laugh. His positive attitude and upbeat spirit were a gift to everyone who knew him.
Above all else, Tommy’s greatest pride and joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Billie Jo Reavis Wilson; his cherished children, Abbygail, Braylin, and Corbin Wilson; his parents, Beulah Wilson and Thomas Wilson, Jr.; his brother, Anthony Wilson and wife Jessica, and their children Lucas, Isabelle, and Abraham; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dwayne and Jennifer Jarvis; his brother-in-law, Bradley Reavis, and his children Alexandria and Layne; his sister-in-law, Crystal Staley and husband Dale, and their children Kody, Katie, and Kinslee; along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Those who knew Tommy will remember his kindness and generosity. He was the type of person who never hesitated to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Whether it was helping a friend, supporting a neighbor, or simply offering encouragement during a difficult time, Tommy was always there. His caring nature and willingness to put others before himself left a lasting impression on countless lives.
Tommy’s legacy is one of faith, love, laughter, kindness, and perseverance. Even in the face of tremendous challenges, he continued to uplift those around him with his humor, strength, and positivity. He taught others how to face adversity with courage, trust God through difficult seasons, and live life with gratitude and grace.
Though our hearts are broken by his loss, we find comfort in knowing that Tommy is no longer suffering and has been welcomed into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We rejoice in the promise of eternal life and the assurance that one day we will see him again.
His memory will live on in every hunting story told, every laugh shared among family and friends, and in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
