Timothy "Tim" Gale Redmond

He was born December 26, 1951, in Iredell County and was the son of the late Gale William and Brite Kirby Redmond. He was a graduate of the North Iredell High School Class of 1970, attended Wilkes Community College and was a long-time member of Taylor Springs Baptist Church. He was retired automobile dealer and had previously worked with Empire Chevrolet.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Frank Patterson.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Jones Redmond, whom he married on June 7, 1994; a son, Chris Redmond of Raleigh; a stepdaughter, Laura (Jack) Allen; a stepson, Erik Scott Wiles; a grandson, Landon Allen, all of Portland, OR; and a sister, Linda Patterson of Statesville.

Funeral service celebrating Tim’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, September 29, 2014, at Taylor Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Carl Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Bradley Kilby, Curt Kilby, Bill Redmond, David Redmond, Lynn St. Claire, and Dennis Williams will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday in the church fellowship hall.
