OBITUARY
Wade Harding Booe
October 1, 1917 – May 21, 2013
Mr. Wade Harding Booe, 95, of Statesville, died May 21, 2013, at Maple Leaf Health Care Center. He was born October 1, 1917, in Davie County and was a son of the late Will G. and Rachel Comer Booe. Wade was retired from Southern Screw Company and was a member of Northmont Baptist Church. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a member of American Legion Post # 401 of Troutman. On December 22, 1967, he married the former Velma Lippard who died on April 14, 2001. Also preceding him in death were a son, Darrell Booe; a daughter, Dorcas Gayle Booe; four brothers, John, Marvin, Howard and Ray Booe; and a sister, Mrs. Ora Whitaker. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Frances Wantland of California; a daughter-in-law, Midea Booe; two grandchildren, Jennifer McCants and Steve Booe; a brother-in- law, Bobby Lippard (Alene); a sister-in-law, Sue Davidson (Frank); and two step-daughters, Jean Durmire and Barbara Stafford (Henry). Graveside services for Wade will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 24, 2013, at Iredell Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Marvin Blackburn and the Rev. Rodney Barker officiating. Full military rites will be presented by the Iredell County Veterans Council Burial Detail. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.bunchjohnsonfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be given to Northmont Baptist Church, 117 Bradley Farm Road, Statesville, NC 28625. Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Mr.Booe was a wonderful man, kind compassionate,giving, hard worker, excellent father to his children. We were neighbors back then and he always had a beautiful garden. Smile on his face most all the time.....Prayers for the family, HE will send you the comforter.
