Born on December 27, 1947, he was the son of the late Dean D. Dalton and Sceva Templeton Dalton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Dalton, and half-brothers, Gene M. Barron and Don D. Dalton.
W.C. was a simple man and a master mechanic. He loved helping others by fixing their cars. He could even tell what was wrong with it just by listening to it. W.C. honorably served in the United States Army. He was also an animal lover, especially to his dogs and cats.
W.C. is survived by his sister, Kay Padgett; half-sister, Mary Ruth Walton; nephews, Jason (Felicia) Padgett and Craig (Amy) Padgett; and niece, Sceva (Francis) Whipkey, who will all miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held in the fellowship hall of Smith Chapel Church in Union Grove on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
