

He was born May 23, 1966, in Gastonia and was the son of William C “Bill” Rhinehart and Scarlett Ashe Rhinehart. He graduated from South Point High School in Belmont and graduated from N.C. State University in 1988 with a B.S. degree in Recreation Resources Administration. He was employed with the N.C. Parks Service for 26 years and was Superintendent at Lake Norman State Park. He was a member of Monticello United Methodist Church and was a strong Christian man with great faith and deep trust in God. He was a devoted son, husband and father and loved his wife and children to the utmost.
Casey is survived by his wife, the Rev. Jill Brooks Rhinehart, whom he married on October 24, 1992; a daughter, Kinsey Rhinehart; a son, Nicolas “Nick” Rhinehart, all of Statesville; his parents, Bill and Scarlett Rhinehart of Cramerton; a sister, Dee Dee Rhinehart of Gastonia; a brother, Charley (Paige) Rhinehart; a niece, Peyton Rhinehart; and a nephew, William Rhinehart, all of Belmont.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, February 27, 2015, at Monticello United Methodist Church.
Funeral service celebrating Casey’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Monticello United Methodist Church with the Revs. Neal and Mandy Jones officiating.
Private graveside service will be held Sunday at Jenkins Cemetery in Bryson City.
