

Mrs. Zoe Ann Shytle Williams, 76, of 281 Miller Farm Road, died Sunday at Gordon Hospice House. She was a native of Rutherford County, born on October 29, 1934 and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mattie Davis Shytle.
Mrs. Williams was a graduate of Appalachian State University and Rutherford Hospital School of Nursing. She was a R.N. and had been employed with Grace Hospital, Iredell Memorial Hospital, and from 1973 until 1991 with North Iredell High School as health occupations teacher. She had retired from the Iredell-Statesville school systems as a school nurse.
On August 15, 1964 she married Ronald Williams who preceded her in death on October 1, 2008. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, John Shytle.
Mrs. Williams is survived by one son: Alan Williams (Monica) of Statesville, two daughters: Angela Ilse (Paul) of Atlanta, Ga. and Amanda Brookshire of Satesville, nine grandchildren: Ann Marie, Morgan, Will and Jack Ilse, Jonathan, Noah and Luke Brookshire, and Tyler and Gavin Williams, a brother: Ray Shytle of Mr. Ulla and a sister: Jane Toms (Charles) of Forest City, N.C.
Funeral services celebrating her life will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Porter officiating. Entombment will follow in the Mauseleum at Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11a.m. until noon at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Following the entombment service at Iredell Memorial Gardens, the family will be assembled at the home of Alan Williams at 126 Brody Drive, Satesville.
