She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Eastwood Neill.
She is survived by three daughters, Virginia Neill Wessell (Sandy) of Wilmington, N.C., Pamela Neill Kirchman (Bob) of Staunton and Susan Eastwood Neill of Alexandria; four grandchildren, Alexander MacDonald Wessell Jr. (Holli) of Wilmington, N.C., Robert Neill Wessell of New York City, Ann Carpenter Knepper (Steve) of Crozet and Robert Samuel Kirchman (Rachel) of Staunton and one great-grandson, Alexander MacDonald Wessell III of Wilmington, N.C.
Ann loved volunteering, singing in her church choir in Richmond, tennis, golf and especially serving her family.
While living the past 14 years in Staunton, Ann greatly enjoyed seeing her grandchildren grow up, playing community bridge and reading and relaxing at home.
The family is grateful for all friendship expressed to the Neills during their life in Staunton and so appreciative of their excellent caregivers, Grace Morris, Lisa Crawford and Christal Halterman.
The family will gather for a private memorial service Sunday.
