She was born September 23, 1931 at Matoaka, West Virginia, a daughter of the late S. Claude and Hattie (Lowe) Davis.
She was a 1950 graduate of Wilson Memorial High School and Woodrow Wilson Technical School in Fishersville. She retired from General Electric/Genicom in 1994 after 38 years of service.
Claudine was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church since 1947. She happily worshiped with the loving congregation of the Staunton Salvation Army Church since moving to Staunton in 2007.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McAllister on October19, 2002. The two were married on June 20, 1953. In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by a grandson, Bobby Hamilton; sisters, Helen Anderson, Gloria Oxley; brother, Sammy Davis and son-in-law Robert Hamilton and a sister-in-law, Doris Davis.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Susan Hamilton of Staunton; three grandsons and five great grandsons; Aaron and wife Fanny and their two sons, Matt and Michael, Adam and wife Camron and their children Mack, Noah,Trace and Ivorie Skye; Andrew of Staunton; sister, Frances Allred and husband Bob, brother, Seth Davis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews
At Claudine’s request, her remains will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes, 18 W. Frederick St., Staunton by her grandson Adam Hamilton officiating.
