George Thomas Hensley

He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 16, 1930 to Isaac Chapman Hensley and Nina Mae Lawson Hensley. From early on he nurtured a passion for science into academic achievement culminating with his graduation from Ohio State University Medical School in 1957. Academics would remain dear to him, as any of his many students and associates can attest to. His career in pathology took him from Ohio through Wisconsin to Florida. He lived since retiring in Verona, VA. A man of many interests and accomplishments, George Hensley was always quick to share his vast knowledge and warm humor.

He is survived by his wife Linda, daughters Kimberly and Laura, son Jim, grandchildren Ane, Felix, Matthew and Grant, brother Leroy Hensley, sons-in-law Greg Alvarez and Randy Hanson, daughter-in-law, Nina Hensley and sister-in-law Cathy Kantor and her husband Hal Kantor.

A Celebration of Life service will be conducted later in Florida.
