Homer Boyd Cain, 81, husband of Evelyn Collins Cain, of Staunton died Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Staunton.
He was born July 28, 1930 in Staunton, a son of the late John Henry and Nannie Alice Cain.
Prior to retirement, Mr. Cain was employed by General Electric and Genicom with 34 years of service as an Electronic Tech. He spent two years in the Army serving in Germany.
He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Jo Ann Powell, Betty Milstead, Gracie Riley; one brother, Thomas Nelson (Tommy) Cain.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a special nephew and his wife, Frank and Kip Cain of Ruckersville, VA and a number of other nieces and nephews; two special friends, Keith Kerr and Jan Satiros and wonderful care givers, Woodrow and Delores Adair.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 21, 2011 in Thornrose Cemetery with Dr. Daniel Williams officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes of Staunton, 18 West Frederick St. Staunton.
