
She was born November 17, 1911, in Augusta County, the youngest of eleven children of Utah Lake and Sallie Anderson Hamrick.
She and her husband, “Bud” Roller operated a variety store in Stanley, Va. in Page County from the middle of the Depression until they retired in 1976. She continued to live in Stanley until 1997, when she moved to the Bridgewater Retirement Community.
She was a lifetime member of the Spring Hill Presbyterian Church of Staunton and attended Stanley Baptist Church during the years that she lived in Stanley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Luther “Bud” Roller and her daughter, Sally Kathleen Roller. She was also preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include a son, Moffett Roller, and wife Lynne of Falls Church, three grandchildren: Andrew Roller, Kathleen Roller, and Sallie Roller.
A service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, September 14, 2012, in the Lantz Chapel of Bridgewater Retirement Village by the Rev. Charles A. McFarlin. Burial will follow in Thornrose Cemetery in Staunton.
Active pallbearers will be her grandson, Andrew Roller and men of Spring Hill Presbyterian Church.
The family will receive friends from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2012, in the Lantz Chapel of Bridgewater Retirement Village.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes and Crematory.
