

LaDonna “Patty” Paulette Pannell, 63 of Staunton, passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at her residence, surrounded by her family. Born in Waynesboro, Virginia on August 3, 1951, a daughter of the late Charles Henry Pannell and the surviving, Mildred Elizabeth.
Patty was a fighter to the end, courageously battling cancer for two years.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth Baber and her husband, Sean of Staunton; two sisters, Pamela P. Drumheller and her husband, Robert of Luray, Rhonda Craig and her husband, Wiley of Waynesboro; a brother, Charles H. Pannell II and his wife, Loren of Fishersville; three grandchildren, Michael Thompson and his wife Brittany of Stuart Draft, Ryan Baber, and Rachel Baber, both of Staunton; one great grandchild, Hunter Thompson of Stuarts Draft; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
Patty’s wishes were to be cremated.
A celebration of life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes in Waynesboro. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. , Monday, January 26, 2015 at Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes in Waynesboro.

The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Patty’s brother and sisters, and the physicians and staff at the HOPE Cancer Center for their care during Patty’s battle.
