Rhonda Gail Collier

Rhonda was born in Boone, NC, to Anna Lee Church and Worth Church on June 10th, 1944. She spent her entire adult life working as a waitress at various restaurants around King George, VA, and spent many years at the Officers Club of NSWC Naval Base. Rhonda enjoyed talking to people, loved cooking for her family, and enjoyed reading. She especially enjoyed her romance novels in the last several years. She also followed astrology, loved her cats, and was very good at crossword puzzles. She also enjoyed playing bingo, and for the last several years, had a side business selling shoes on eBay.

In addition to her parents, Rhonda was preceded in death by her sister, Jan Portl; and her brothers, Kerry Worth Church, Gary Church, and Ricky Church.

Rhonda is survived by her daughter, Sheryl Putnam and husband John of King George; her sons, George R. Leake of Staunton, and Donald Baine Collier and wife Tacy of Fredonia, PA. In addition, Rhonda is survived by her grandchildren, John Putnam Jr, Mathew Putnam and Alexis Collier; her great grandchildren, Emma Putnam and Jackson Putnam; as well as her brother, Ronnie Church and wife Jo of Staunton; her sister, Elaine Minton of Staunton; and her special friend, Dora Houck.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
