Walter Darrell Barger

Born June 10, 1956 in Jefferson County, WV he was a son of Dorothy (Smallwood) Barger-Fuller and the late Ralph Harold Barger.

Walter was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served his country honorably aboard the USS Inchon LPH12 in international waters. As a talented musician, he greatly enjoyed playing the guitar and making flutes by hand. He was a gifted artists who also enjoyed drawing and writing.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, R. Michael Barger; and a sister, Therese Gay Barger.

Survivors include his mother, Dorothy (Smallwood) Barger-Fuller of Staunton; daughter, Jessica Barger of PA; two grandsons, Wyatt and Ethan; sisters, Cheryl Folmar of Staunton and Pamela Hird of Charles Town, WV; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Following cremation, a graveside service with military honors will be held at Edge Hill Cemetery, 604 Hunter St., Charles Town, WV. The date and time will be announced.
