Kayko Lissette Andrieux

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kayko Lissette Andrieux, 58, of Arlington, Virginia, who passed away unexpectedly on July 30, 2026.

Kayko was born on July 13, 1968, in Panama. She spent her early childhood there before immigrating to the United States with her parents, Marvin and Sonia Garnett, and her sister, Kareema Price. She grew up in Fairfax, Virginia, where she attended Oakton High School. During her high school years, she was a cheerleader, began her modeling career, excelled academically, and graduated before continuing her education at Virginia Tech, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Communication. She was also a proud and active member of the Delta Gamma sorority.

Following graduation, Kayko pursued her dream of seeing the world. Her adventurous spirit, love of meeting new people, and curiosity about different cultures led her to a career as a Flight Attendant with United Airlines, where she proudly served for more than 20 years before retiring. While flying, she simultaneously built a successful career as a print and commercial model, traveling extensively, embracing new cultures, creating unforgettable memories, and forming lasting friendships around the globe. After returning to the Washington, D.C. area to be closer to her family, she found joy in the hospitality industry, where her passion for exceptional food, fine dining, and creating memorable experiences for others perfectly complemented her warm, outgoing personality. She later served as an Executive Assistant for both private corporations and the federal government.

Kayko embraced life with elegance, curiosity, and a genuine appreciation for beauty in all its forms. She loved to travel, discover new cultures, savor exceptional food, and cook for the people she loved. Whether enjoying a beautifully prepared meal, sharing laughter around the table, or exploring a new destination, she found joy in life's experiences and believed they were best when shared with others.

Those who knew and loved Kayko will remember that her greatest gift was the way she made people feel. She possessed a rare ability to make everyone feel welcomed and valued. Her radiant smile, contagious laughter, quick wit, playful sense of humor, and compassionate heart could brighten any room. Whether she had known someone for years or had just met them, Kayko had a remarkable way of making meaningful connections that left a lasting impression. Her warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her devoted parents, Marvin and Sonia Garnett; her loving sister, Kareema Price; her cherished niece and nephew, Hailey and Chase Price; as well as her beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and countless dear friends whose lives were enriched by knowing and loving her.

Though our hearts are broken by her sudden passing, we take comfort in the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the extraordinary life she lived. Kayko lived with grace, courage, and an adventurous spirit, embracing every opportunity to experience the world and the people in it. Her legacy is one of love, laughter, generosity, and a life lived beautifully. While she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to share in her remarkable journey.

A Celebration of Life honoring Kayko's extraordinary journey, vibrant spirit, and cherished memories will be held:

Dress code: Please wear black or gray to the service as they were both Kayko’s favorite colors.
