Soukkhy has been my stepmom for 21 years.

I remember the first time I met her. It was Halloween night, I was just a kid trick or treating but I still remember how much my dad lit up with her there. I had no idea then that she would be such a big part of my life growing up

It’s hard to beleive over 20 years later my last memory with her was going shopping for my wedding dress together.

There is so much life between those two memories. I remember Soukkhy and Chanse moving into our home, and house hunting for a new place together shortly after. She brought so much life into that house. She has this infectious laugh that you could hear from anywhere. Growing up with Soukkhy introduced me to so much that will stay with me forever.

And the biggest part of that is her family, who I will always consider my own. Chanse, you will always be my brother.

None of us were ready to lose her. But we’ll find a way forward together as a family. I’ll always be greatful that I got to have her as my stepmom for 21 years.

I am so sorry to hear of Soukkhy's passing. I wish to express my deepest condolences to Sou, Chanse and the rest of her family. Soukkhy and I shared some good times and I wish her eternal peace.

Dear Matt,

Dear Matt,

I am heartbroken to learn of the loss of your beloved wife. Words seem futile in these extremely difficult circumstances, but I know they will eventually be a source of comfort in the days ahead. Know that many people love and care for you, especially your work family. Find comfort in knowing that Soukkhy is in the next phase of her journey and that she is undoubtedly with you. May you feel her presence when the wind grazes your face, in the warmth of the sun, and the gentle sway of the trees.

Your Friend,

Luli

Matt I am so sad to hear this. Stay strong and lean on
the love you shared for one another. Very sincere condolences
my friend.

Matt, there are no words that can truly comfort in times like this so all I will say is that I am praying for you and your family. May God comfort you through this difficult time.

I only met Soukkhy a couple times but from what I saw, she was a classy lady. We had a small work event after hours where beers were flowing and she joined us. She got a glass of Champaign.

Thats class and elegance.

She will be sorely missed.

Hang in there Matt

Please accept my deepest condolences on the sudden loss of your wife. My heart goes out to you and your familly. Wishing you strength, peace, and comfort in the days ahead.

Soukkhy was a beautiful person inside and out. She was a wonderful Mother to her son, Chanse, and always spreading positivity wherever she went. Everytime I saw Soukkhy, she was full of vibrancy and energy, often walking around our neighborhood or riding her bike with Matthew, she was always smiling. Soukkhy had a special aura about her that made others smile too. I will miss her beautiful presence. Our family will truly miss her so very much.
