I too remember seeing Chuck at our 31st Regiment reunion at Ft. Benning, GA, but not sure if that was the 1st time in seeing him as we had quite a few members showing up at reunions.
Chuck's smiling face was always the first thing I'd see of him no matter what time of the day it was.
Being I was a member of 1st platoon we could have crossed paths sometime during our tour in 'Nam at Dong Tam in 1968 and 1969.
We will miss Chuck and his smile. RIP bro!

Chuck served with 3rd platoon, Delta Company, 6/31st, 9th Infantry Division during the Vietnam War in 68/69. Chuck and his wife Carolyn attended the 2015 6/31st reunion in Branson, MO as well as many of the 31st Regiment Association reunions. The 2005 Ft Benning, GA was the first large gathering of 6/31st men, and Chuck and Carolyn were there to join with many of his 3rd platoon Brothers for the first time since returning home from the war. Chuck and I had a lot of fun always commenting about how "darn handsome" he was. :) Chuck will be greatly missed by all of his Delta Company Brothers until we join with him again...on the other side.
