Clara E. Suhr, age 84, died Monday, April 30th, 2012, at the Westchester Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. A former 78 year resident of Berwyn and co-owner of the family operated Suhr Stamp Company in Berwyn for fifty years, Clara was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Berwyn where she volunteered in the church office, served on the Altar Guild, Ladies' Aid, Lutheran Womens' Missionary League, and sang in the church choir. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels and played the organ and violin. Clara was preceded in death by her parents Herman and Marie (Hemme) Suhr, and her brothers William and Herman Suhr. Christian funeral services were held Saturday, May 5th, 2012, at Concordia Lutheran Church, Berwyn. Clara was laid to rest in the Suhr family plot at Concordia Cemetery in Forest Park.
