Consuelo Gil-Chacon, age 59, of Orland Park, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. Consuelo was born April 4, 1961 in Chavinda, Michoacan, Mexico to her parents Teresa and Francisco Gil.
Loving wife of Richard Chacon. Beloved mother of Richard Andre (Colleen) Chacon. Cherished AbueChelo of Baby Boy Chacon. Beloved daughter of Teresa Gil. Dear sister of Dolores (Pedro) Ruiz and twin sister of Theresa (Salvador) Mares. Fond aunt of Carmen (Holger) Del Cid, Francisco Ruiz, Susanna T. (Manuel) Maciel and Salvador R. Mares Jr. Tia Tia Coní of Benjamin and Olivia Del Cid and Manuel A. Jr. and Maria Theresa Maciel. Dear friend of many.
Preceded in death by her father Francisco Gil.
Consuelo dedicated her life to helping others. She worked as an office coordinator in several doctor offices at Mt. Sinai Hospital and West Suburban Hospital. Most recently, Consuelo worked as a teacher assistant in Cicero School District 99 with special education children. She was kind hearted with children, bringing them lunches, snacks, and supplies when they were in need. She was generous with her time, had a heart of gold, and would do anything for anyone. She loved being called Tia Tia Coní by her great-nieces and nephews. She was so excited to be AbueChelo to her grandson. She had a strong belief in her faith and medicine. She always appreciated all of the little things in life, and she enjoyed cooking, baking, pottery, and especially shopping. Consuelo was a very giving person, from shopping for others to accompanying friends and family on trips. She loved to travel and spend time with others. Consuelo was the life of the party. You would find her on the dance floor or chatting with family and friends.
