Ed was a valued member of our Neuroendocrine Support group. He had a very empathetic nature. His words of encouragement and positive attitude comforted so many going through a similar journey.
Ed will be missed for his friendly demeanor, humor, dependability and willingness to share his experiences in order to help others navigate this rare cancer.
I just heard about this loss. I missed the opportunity to give my condolences in person. Just know we are so grateful he found our group. Lessons learned from his experience will be shared with new members going forward.
May his memory bring peace and comfort to your entire family.
Sincerely,
Janet Medhat

I will be the glue now, rest easy. I love you, we love you.

I will miss you Poppa Ed. You were always the go to man to get advice from when I was upset. I will always remember and cherish our good times we had. Love you always and forever. ❤️❤️

Dad,

Losing you will always and forever be the hardest loss of my life. When that day came, my world stopped. My mind went blank and I became numb. Life as I knew it changed… Forever… What once was is no longer; And a life without you now stands before me. I don’t know how I’m going to do this. I am going to miss our calls, daily texts and the Tuesday Jukebox. Thank you for always being there for me Dad. Thank you for being straightforward with me, but also so loving, caring and understanding. Thank you for loving me for who I was, but being there to hold me accountable and always helping me strive to be better. You were the best Dad a kid could ask for. You were my Rock, my Hero, the one that I could lean on for advice, wisdom and strength. You were the one I could count on to tell me the truth, but be there with your loving guidance on how to fix it. You were the strongest they could come. Your strength was something I always admired and looked up to; And I hope one day I could have even 1/2 the strength that you had. While you are gone physically, I know that you are still close at heart. I know you are up in Heaven, no longer in any pain watching over me. I know that your guiding hand and words of wisdom is never far and you will always be with me.

Thank you for being the best Dad ever!

Until we meet again. Love you and miss you forever Dad.

You are a warrior!

There is a hole in our hearts and you will be dearly missed.

I’ve known Ed my whole life, it seems! His family, including his mom and daughters have had a constant presence in our church family. Always felt a part of his family too, connected through Gramma Sue. Will miss his laugh, his warm eyes, and he had jokes ❤️ Unforgettable as well is his faithfulness to the Lord and his unending prayers for his family.

My sincere condolences to the family. I have left Lyons in 1980. Ed was a classmate and a friend. His mother Ms Sue Wright was my Sunday school teacher.I spent a lot of hours in their home as a young girl.I made my last visit to the Wright home in 1984.I wanted to introduce them to my daughter.Ed was not there.I have precious memories of Eddie.I am saddened to hear of his passing. My heart is heavy. My deepest sympathies and prayers to the family.
