Beloved wife of the late, Helmut, Elisabeth was the devoted mother of Ronnie (Rita) and Linda (Norbert). She was a proud grandmother to Karl (Megan), Stephanie, Michael (Nikki), Ashley (Kyle), and Heidi. A cherished great-grandmother to Paxton, Archer, Kate, and Jack and a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Elisabeth came to America in 1953 and embraced her new life in Chicago, where she enjoyed her work at the Bismarck Hotel and the vibrant German American community. She took great joy in raising her children within that community and watching them participate in cultural programs that celebrated their heritage.
Throughout her life, Elisabeth remained deeply connected to her family in Germany. She traveled back often - sometimes for long summer visits - bringing her children to spend time with their grandparents, six siblings, and extended family.
Elisabeth will be remembered for her warmth, her devotion to family, and the love she carried across continents and generations.
