Eudelia Cazares López passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 15, 2025. Eudelia, lovingly known as Yeya, was born in Yuriria, Guanajuato on November 9, 1947, to her parents Jose Carmen López and Maria Carmen Rosales. On December 30, 1972, she married her loving husband, Miguel Cazares. Side by side with her love of over 50 years, inseparable in every journey, they built a beautiful life together. Beloved Mother of Michael (Jolene), Diane (Rafael) Diaz and Nancy. Cherished Grandma of Kris, Rafael Jr., Julian, Ayleen, Jake, Alyssa, Ari and Ricky. Dear Sister of Celina (Francisco) Soto, Marina (the late Fred) Harvey, Pablo Lopez, Roy (Linda) Lopez, Raul (Marcela) Lopez, Joseph (Celia) Lopez and the late Soledad Lopez.
True to her spirit, she lived life her way. She honored her word with such unwavering strength that it became a gift of trust to all who knew her. Simple yet elegant, with red roses at heart and lipstick as her daily touch of grace, she was always ready for the next adventure. Quietly strong, deeply respected, and endlessly loved, she leaves behind cherished memories and the lasting footprints in the sand that will guide and comfort us always.
A visitation for Yeya will be held Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402. Funeral service on Friday, September 19, 2025. Family and Friends can meet at Mount Auburn Funeral Home at 8:00 a.m. Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at St Pancratius Catholic Church (Our Lady Of Fatima-St Pancratius Parish), 4025 S. Sacramento Ave, Chicago, IL 60632. Burial to follow at Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery, 1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162.
