Jesus Plasencia passed in his home on June 19, 2026, at the age of 91 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Acatic, Jalisco, Mexico on August 27, 1934, to his parents, Angel Plasencia Macias and Tomasa Franco Gonzalez.
He lived a life marked by faith, devotion to family and kindness.
Loving husband of the late Maria Plascencia. Beloved father of Francisco, Alfredo, Miguel (Thania), Martha, Marissa (Lewis), Gloria, Jesus Jr. (Rosio) and the late Martha and Juan Jose. Cherished grandfather of Juan, Veronica, Priscilla, Graciela, Crystal, Ashley, Celeste, Xavier, Avina, Gabriela, Alana, Miguel Jr., Yulissa, Joshua, Maico, Sophia, Santiago, Marleyna, Ignacio Jr., Jacob, Madelyn, Franco, Diana, Ailani and Uriel and great-grandfather of Nathaniel, Isabella, Logan, Tobias, Ellie, Ethan, Ryker, Joaquin, Nexi and Leesi.
A visitation for Jesus will be held at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402, on June 25, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 26th. Family and Friends can meet at Mount Auburn Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. Mass will take place starting at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (Immaculate Conception-Five Holy Martyrs Parish), 2745 W 44th St, Chicago, IL 60632, US, on June 26, 2026.
Services will conclude at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402, with prayers at graveside.
