John G. Karnelski passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022. John was born December 11, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to his parents Stephanie and John L. Karnelski. On June 24, 1967 he married Eileen L. Orion. Army Veteran.
He is survived by his loving wife 55 years Eileen L. Karnelski. Beloved father of Alana (Mark) Mikiewicz and Liana (Victor) Silva. Cherished grandfather of Marina G. Silva, Jazmin E. Silva, Aliza J. Silva, Savanna G. Mikiewicz and Malia F. Mikiewicz. Dear brother of Gerald Karnelski and uncle of Erik Karnelski and Shelley Mitchell. Fond brother-in-law and uncle of the Orion Ohana. Dear friend of many and avid golfer.
A visitation for John will be held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.
Funeral Service Wednesday, September 7, 2022 meet at Mount Auburn Funeral Home at 9:30 A.M. following in procession to St. Faustina Kowalski, 5251 S. McVicker Avenue, Chicago, IL 60638 for 11:00 A.M. Mass.
