Joey was a kind and funny man. He would help anyone we needed help. He will be missed by all of his co workers and all those who had the pleasure to meet him. He left us way too soon. My sincerest condolences to the entire Garcia family. God bless you my friend. 

Such a good man! I’m thankful for all the times we worked together laughing through our day. You were one of the most good spirited and funny guys that I have ever met. Amtrak yard will never be the same. Rest up brother! A life well lived but gone way too soon! I will miss you Joey! Thoughts and prayers will always be with the loved ones left behind! 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Joey, we are heartbroken without you.  You were an amazing brother in law.. the best Dad to your kids and a wonderful uncle to my Lexy. And believe it or not you were definitely sweet to my fur babies ( buying them protein powders and natural flea remedies lol) We fought we partied and we definitely made the most wonderful memories for so many years. I will cherish them all even the times w you picking on me or whoever. You had charisma and style and we always had a great time. I will cry I will laugh and I will always hold you dear to my heart. My Tio Joey is such great provider for his kids my lil cousins and an amazing dad. Some of the best moments with him was when I would sleep over the house and the very next day I would wake up to him offering breakfast on a plate to me, that's how ik he showed his love. The funny humour was none other then his own could not be copied and he was original with every thought and would let you know the real deal 🤝 He did everything with class and tact. I will miss him very much.🖤

To the family,

Joey was my Bop-bops and I’ve been his Mamma’s for as long as I can remember! Joey and I worked on job 4 together until he went to afternoons. My most recent memory was me being hungry ( as usual) and Joey walking in the crew room with POPEYES. My eyes lit up because I had no doubts he would feed me. I yelled “ Bop bops I’m so hungry “! Joey said “ come on Mamma’s, I’ll feed you. I even bought 2 red beans and rice”. He placed a napkin on the table like a loving friend and made me a plate of food. He was EVERYTHING! That small gesture is so profound in my memory. Silly I know but anyone who knows Joey can appreciate the sentiment. I pray the Angels know who they have and what he means to all of us. May GOD wrap you in his arms and guide you through this storm. He has come for his son, but we will see him again.

To the Garcia family, 
You have my deepest condolence. Joey was a great man. Very funny personality. He helped me a lot during my time in the tower as a Amtrak Yardmaster. Our last conversation via text was him giving me his condolence on the passing of my mother 3  days before his passing suggesting I come back to the tower so he can "wash up on time" he will be missed dearly.
