Judith Villazana, age 40, of Cicero, Illinois passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Mexico. Judith was born January 18, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois to her parents Petra and Andres. Loving daugher of Petra Valdez and the late Andres Villazana. Beloved sister of Andres Villazana Jr. and Victor Valdez. Cherished aunt of Issac, Maia, Noah.

Judith attended Morton College where she earned her Associate’s Degree. She attended Northeastern Illinois University and received her Bachelor’s Degree. She was a graduate of UIC and received her Master’s Degree in Social Work. She was very fond of her dog, Ohno, and loved having him as part of her family life. One of her favorite activities was traveling. Trips included Mexico, Scotland, Paris, London, and celebrating her brother’s birthday in Brazil. Judith had an interest in art and in classical music. She enjoyed attending a Barbara Streisand concert with her mom. Judith was a NKOTB fan. She was a truly kind hearted and generous person, always trying to give back to the community. She was involved with Street Wise, a social service organization in Chicago and participated in the AIDS 5K Walk Foundation of Chicago. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Memorial Service for Judith will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 2:00pm to 8:00 pm at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, IL 60402.

In consideration of the safety of our guests and associates, Mount Auburn Funeral Home will adhere to the current gathering restrictions in the state of Illinois, which allow 50 or fewer guests at services at a time. Proper social distancing must be practiced and all guests will be required to wear face masks.

Judith was such a wonderful human being! She was my mentor, supervisor and friend. I remember spending the last 2 winters doing paperwork and listening to Christmas music at our desk ♥️ She is missed! Love and appreciate every memory we spent together.

Judith was a student in the department of social work at NEIU where I served as the department chair and one of her professors. Judith was a strong intelligent kind and loving young woman with a laughter that could light up a room. Judith participated in a short term study tour that I led to Guanajuato Mexico with several swk students where we worked with a program for domestic violence Judith was an engaged curious learner and student She will be missed greatly. Judy was my young activity assistant at Alden Town Manor in the early 2000’s.
She was a joy to work with and had a beautiful, big heart for service.
I was proud of her accomplishments and I am so very saddened by her loss.
