

Lorraine Mae Boker passed away on March 14, 2026. Born on February 4, 1946, Lorraine was a kind devoted, faithful, gentle, and honest woman whose hard-working spirit and compassionate heart touched many throughout her life.
Born and raised in Berwyn, Lorraine was the daughter of Sophie and John Shotts. She attended Morton West High School and graduated St. Mary of Nazareth School of Nursing, building a foundation of character that would be reflected in her patient, thoughtful, and wise way of moving through life.
Lorraine dedicated herself to caring for others, working in the Labor and Delivery Department at Cook County Hospital for 30 years. Her service to families in moments of both anticipation and tenderness reflected her generous and inspirational nature. She later retired from nursing, leaving behind a legacy of steady commitment and kindness.
She was the sister of the late Elizabeth Bruner and a beloved aunt to Gretchen (Cody) Keneson, Andrew (Fumiko) Bruner and Jon (Carmella Burnette) Bruner. Lorraine shared 29 loving wonderful years with life partner Michael Bartosz.
Lorraine loved the ocean. She enjoyed spending time at the beach with Michael. She enjoyed shopping and dining out. She loved animals. She rescued two pets. She's an active Brookfield Zoo member. She belonged to the Red Hat's and the Purple Dolly's. Lorraine was a faithful and devoted member of Doctor Bob and Bill W's Fellowship for 30 years.
A memorial service for Lorraine will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, IL 60402.
