Luz Divina Velez, passed away on November 5, 2019. She was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico on February 4, 1926 to Virgilio and Sophia Velez.

Luz Divina is survived by her loving children, Frank Antonio Quinones (Rosalinda), Blanca Irma Quinones, Luz Mabel Quinones, Wilfredo Quinones, and Gisela Velez-Ennesser (Raymond).

Cherished grandmother of 11: Frank Antonio Jr., Victoria, Lisa, Christopher, Marilyn, Marlene, Angel Jr., Michaelangelo, Catherine, Melanie, and Alicia; Great Grandmother of 10: Airiana, Reina, Mikalel, Felicia, Javier, Isabel, Angelisse, Anaise, Xavier, and Gabriel; Great-great Grandmother of 1: Reine. Dear sister of six siblings: 4 Sisters – Elisa, Auria, Julia, and Carmen Lydia and 2 Brothers – Carlos and Virgilio; Caring Aunt and devoted Friend to many.

Luz Divina was preceded in death by her loving husband Ernesto Melendez.

A visitation for Luz Divina Velez will be held Monday, November 11, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Service to begin at 12:00 p.m. and immediately followed by funeral procession at Mount Auburn Funeral Home 4101 S. Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, IL 60402 (708) 749-2033.
